  . . . and, as long as we're in a "recipes" thread, don't forget the contribution that the nation's nauga ranchers make to our cuisine as well as our couches. You don't think they throw away the rest of the beast after they skin it? Of course not--but, rather like "beef" and "pork" are the names for the flesh of cattle and pigs, the flesh of this feisty, cushion-shaped animal is known as "Spam."

You can tell that both naugahyde and spam come from the same creature by sitting on them. They both make approximately the same noises and both stick to your backside in hot weather.
