Wow--this was the tenth year in a row that I'd held the Valentine's Day
Chocolate Party and if we didn't set the record for the most chocolate
in one house that night, we came pretty darned close to it. I made a
gallon-and-a-half of my dark chocolate pudding and a huge (and always
popular) chocolate-peanut-butter-cake, with plenty of chocolate chips
on top of the frosting for that extra chocolational experience. We had
at least a half-dozen cakes, two pies, enough cookies to feed a small
country, and--of course--huge quantities of chocolate confections.

The turnout was pretty big and the guests tried valliantly to consume
the amazing quantity and variety of chocolate, but in the end, the
chocolate still proved triumphant and even after vigorous attempts
to give away as much food as possible, I was left with a freezer that
was very well-stuffed.
